Description

The State Eligibility Test (SET) for Zoology is a state-level competitive examination organised by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, under the direction of the Government of Kerala. It is a prerequisite qualification for candidates aspiring to become Higher Secondary School Teachers or Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE in Zoology.

  • Exam Mode: Offline (Pen-and-Paper Based Test)

  • Duration: 120 minutes for each paper

  • Number of Papers: Two

    • Paper I: General Knowledge and Aptitude in Teaching

    • Paper II: Subject-specific (Zoology)

  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Marking Scheme:

    • Paper I and II :

      • +1 mark for each correct answer

      • No negative marking for incorrect answers

  • Educational Qualification:

    • A Master’s degree in Zoology, Life Sciences, or related disciplines with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

                                                      AND

    • Candidates with a B.Ed degree in Life Sciences or Zoology from NCERT-affiliated institutions are eligible.

  • Age Limit: No age restriction.
